Recently I was lucky enough to be sent some of the Lily Cole range for The Body Shop. Having never tried any make up at all by TBS, it was exciting to try something completely new. However this leaves me at a disadvantage as obviously I cannot compare it to their regular permanent line.
For those who live on the moon, Lily Cole is a British model and actress. Some of you may recognise her from her roles in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and St Trinian’s. In her spare time, Lily is a keen activist. She has been involved with such charities as Elton John’s AIDs Foundation, Comic Relief and the World Land Trust. All of this led The Body Shop to choose her as their first ever face and to create this Cruelty-Free line to celebrate their Against Animal Testing ethos.
In this range is a Shimmer Cubes Palette in 24 (€24.95 for 4×3.5g/0.12 oz).
This is a small plastic box containing four inidividual cubes of shimmer eyeshadow.
The colours in this palette are;
01 Think Pink – a soft, red-toned, light cranberry colour,
02 Live Lilac – a blue-toned icy silver-lilac,
03 Go Violet – a deep chocolatey-purple
04 Tint it Pink – a pink-toned champagne highlight.
The payoff of all of these colours is alright although they are very buildable. They all have a pearlescent finish with the smallest hint of glitter. I am a huge fan of the three warmer colours but won’t find myself getting much use out of the lilac. That is just personal preference – some of you may love it. It is quite a unique colour which I am pretty sure I don’t have a dupe for. This palette is my favourite part of the whole collection.
